Herbal Medicine  

  Herbal medicine is the use of plant remedies in the treatment of disease and is the oldest form of medicine known. Medical herbalists are trained in the same diagnostic skills, anatomy, physiology and clinical pathology as orthodox doctors. Their basic course takes four years of full time study to achieve but they use herbs either in tincture or dried form, in a symbiotic blend appropriate for each individual to restore health.

  During the first consultation, which usually takes about an hour. Louise will cover the medical history and background looking for any related health issues, treating holistically, rather than symptomatically. Treatment also often includes advice about diet and lifestyle as well as herbs in the form of tinctures, capsules or traditional dried herb. Other nutritional supplements may be suggested, where appropriate. Follow up consultations last between 20 and 30 minutes
